“Initially I was praying for a colleague, but I had forgotten to include the father of an online acquaintance who was recently diagnosed with cancer. God knew my heart and my intentions, and on day 8 my friend reached out and thanked me directly for praying for her father, saying he was cancer free. My heart sank. I had forgotten to add him to my prayers. My friend could have said nothing to me despite receiving the good news, as we’ve never met and our friendship is casual. But she still felt the need to tell me, which both showed me the glory of God through the answered prayer, while humbling me all the while. Even through our human error and forgetfulness— the Lord continues to teach us, while answering the prayers of many.”

“I was diagnosed with cancer in February 2026. I have had surgery and genetic testing shows that I have a genetic syndrome that one in one million people have. Ultra rare syndrome. This results in being at risk for other cancers such as uveal melanoma and leukemia. Went to the ocular oncologist May 28 and have no sign of cancer in my eyes. I also had a PET scan and am cancer free. I will continue to pray for good health and I know through prayer I will remain cancer free. With Jesus in my heart I am not afraid.”
