“My dearest St. Monica, On your feast day, I want to thank you from the deepest part of my heart. I came to you with something very close to my heart, and you knew exactly why. You understood the love behind every prayer and everything I quietly placed in your care. Thank you for teaching me that sometimes the greatest act of love is to keep praying while surrendering the people we love completely to God. Your life has reminded me that waiting does not mean God is doing nothing, and that a prayer offered with love is never wasted. Thank you for teaching me patience when I want answers, hope when I cannot see what lies ahead, and trust when all I can do is place someone I love in God's hands.
