St George Novena

“My husband & I adopted a little girl 3 years ago. We met her a few days after her 8th birthday on April 23rd, the Feast of St. George. She is now 11. The 3 of us have had a great love for St George ever since. We celebrate April 23rd every year. This year, 2026, we found out that her biological little sister needed a home. She came to live with us in late January. We were worried as the 1st family would most likely try to stop the adoption. The 1st family environment was dangerous. We knew how bad it would be if she went back. We told little sister (6 years old) about our devotion to St George and how special it is to us. (Courts require that a child live with a family for 6 months before finalizing adoption) The 4 of us started praying the novena to St George this year. We were planning on celebrating like we do every year. Then we found out that the court shortened the adoption period to 3 months! Little sister's adoption court date was on April 23rd-- the Feast of St George!! 🐲”

“I asked for a rock as an indication of heard prayer from St.George. On his Feast day I happened to find a rock on the floor in my room, which is unusual because there are no rocks anywhere nearby. God Bless”
